The UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Maternity Support Program offers personalized support before, during and after your pregnancy. This program offers:
The Maternity Support Program offers personal guidance through all stages of pregnancy and delivery. They specialize in working with moms experiencing normal pregnancy as well as moms who are high risk or experiencing pregnancy complications. UHC also offers the Neonatal Resource Services Program as part of the Maternity Support Program to help reduce neonatal costs and readmissions.
The Maternity Support Program is voluntary and covered as part of your UHC medical plan. You can enroll by calling 800 387 7508 and ask to speak with a nurse. As a program participant, you can call any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with any questions or concerns you might have. To take full advantage of the UHC Maternity Support Program, you are encouraged to enroll within the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy. You can enroll any time up to your 34th week.

BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama (BCBSAL) offers free assistance to expectant mothers through the Baby Yourself Maternity Program. The program includes a personal nurse that you can call with any questions or concerns throughout your pregnancy, support and educational material from a BlueCross registered nurse experienced in prenatal care, labor and delivery and newborn care, and care coordination, including the arrangement of home health services when indicated, for high-risk pregnancies. You can enroll by calling 800 222 4379 (Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Central) or by visiting the Baby Yourself Maternity Program website.
Kaiser Permanente offers a host of resources for expectant parents, including helpful newsletters, checklists and videos, as well as a 24-hour nurseline. You can also use Kaiser’s website to search for classes in your area, and to manage your pregnancy care, including emailing your doctor, making appointments and getting test results.
